^MA 1 40 ^PL 0 ^JU ^CE^SK0** READ FROM THE SCREEN - HP71 ** ^CE^SK0--------------------------------- ^SK1The following program segment enables a running BASIC program to display with scrolling in either direction and moveable cursor on, to select from a menu of options by placing the cursor against the selected option and then pressing ENDLINE. ^SK1Use is made of the SCROLL keyword, found in the Text Editor (e.g. Translator Pac.) I think that SCROLL is an important addition to the HP71 Basic commands, because there is no other way that a long display line can be reviewed. (i.e. scrolled back and forth) whilst a program is running. ^SK1I guess if the Lexfile for SCROLL can't be made available from the User Library then it could be keyed in with the MAKELEX routine in the booklet 'HP-71 MADE EASY' by J.
